Keepsakes Final Portraits

These portraits can also be seen during Somerset Art Weeks in the foyer of Victoria Park Community Centre, Bridgwater from Wednesday14th September.

Nisha has been studying Photography, Graphic Design and Sociology at Bridgwater College for the past 2 years. She decided to assist for the 'Keepsakes Project' after becoming involved in the recent SAW ltd project, ‘Chilton Generations Together’ project. She designed the logo, set up the blog, took visual records for the project and has continued her work documenting for 'Keepsakes'. This September Nisha is off to study Photography at Southampton Solent University.

Keepsakes Project info

Thanks to funding support from Sedgemoor DC, SAW extended its memories project work in Bridgwater with a new 'Keepsakes' project at Victoria Park Community Centre.

In June we ran 2 taster sessions where local people were invited to share their memories and stories of life in the local community. In July we held a memory sharing workshop with the Active Living Group at Victoria Park.
During August we ran 3 workshops, creating an interactive memory map of the area and keepsake boxes. These will be displayed during Somerset Art Weeks 17 Sept - 01 October and afterwards during October at Bridgwater Library.
